Focus Supplements and The Best Nootropics

In this short post, I have outlined by personal favourite focus supplements – the best nootropics for achieving optimal levels of focus!

Supplements for focus and concentrationWith all the confusing, and even conflicting, information out there, how is it possible to determine which nootropics are effective and are most suited to your needs? I have developed a quick and easy (free) guide to help you gain access to the knowledge you need to get you over the line!

Below I have listed the most effective nootropics that deliver consistent results for focus, from my experience.

Before you peruse the table, I would like to mention a few points on nootropics.

I like to split nootropics into two categories; the first being supplements, and the second being ‘super supplements’. Supplements are used to facilitate brain and bodily function – bringing you up to the level you need to perform at your natural best. The ‘super supplements’ are used to take you further, to get you to the level you need to be at. To explain this better, take an individual who has ADD/ADHD – supplements will help, however taking an additional ‘super supplements’ will get them to the level they need to be at to perform.

This may seem confusing, however for some individuals, being at their natural best is not always enough (a person with ADHD/ADD’s natural best will not bring them up to the ‘average’ level – they may still not be able to focus due to further biological factors).

To combat this, in the case of ADD/ADHD, the use of stimulant medication is often employed with medications such as Concerta/Ritalin (Methylphenidate based) or Vyvanse (Amphetamine based).

Furthermore, there are other stimulants which can be accessed without a prescription and are used for a wide variety of reasons – consider people who work long shifts, often times they use Caffeine (primarily either from coffee or energy drinks which additionally contain Taurine) to boost their alertness, all of which are listed in the table below.

I have also listed Nicotine, which may seem strange to many. Shocking to many and contrary to what you may think, Nicotine is also a stimulant which has been proven to significantly boost focus and concentration levels proven by placebo-controlled double-blind studies (click this link for a NCBI study). The study concluded nicotine resulted in lower reaction times, improved attention in addition to other tests conducted which resulted in further cognitive enhancements, described by the study.

For further information on these supplements refer to the table below; I have also included product links for those who are interested in boosting their cognitive abilities and optimising their focus.
